Learning Targets: I will learn... How to read and write in Spanish using simple sentences utilizing new and familiar vocabulary. How to conjugate Regular -AR,-ER, & -IR Verbs Warm up - Translate: 1) Juan eats cereal for breakfast every day. 2) I love vegetable soup. 3) Do you (informal) like orange juice? Today in class we took the "Piratas" Ch. 1-3 Quiz. After taking the quiz, we took notes on how to conjugate the verb "Encantar" (to love). Here is the powerpoint with the notes. After taking notes, we completed this sheet to practice Gustar & Encantar. We also completed these 2 listening activities. Today in class students had the whole block to complete any make-up work from this unit and turn it in to me. Today in class we started by going over the answers to the study guide for tomorrow's test. Here are the answers to the study guide in case you were absent. The students and I wrote the part about Spanish class together and then students told me about the rest of their classes. Warm Up - Translate: 1) We don’t like to sing. 2) Juan and Ramon like to work. 3) You don’t like talking on the phone at all. Today in class we took the quiz over "Gustar" and infinitive verb vocab. After the quiz students picked up the new vocab sheet and we defined our new vocabulary for Ch. 2A which covers school and class vocab.
