Learning Targets 1. How to describe myself and others using "Ser" and adjectives. 2. How to conjugate and use the verb "Tener" (to have) Warm Up: Describe yourself in Spanish with Ser + 3 adjectives and Tener + hair/eye color. Today in class we quickly reviewed for our unit test. Next, we took the Ch. 1B Unit Exam over "Ser" (to be) / "Tener" (to have) and descriptive adjectives. After the test, students completed this vocab crossword puzzle for our next unit. Today in class we used Centers to review for tomorrow's unit test. He has short, black hair. Today in class we started with the music video "Guapo" by Sr. Wooly to review the verbs "ser" and "tener" as well as adjective vocab. Here is the lyrics sheet. Next, we practiced the different elements of our unit. Students wrote sentences about the differences between these 2 family photos and then we talked about what was written. We also played 2 quick speed games to review vocabulary, and finally students completed these 2 worksheets. The last part of class students used their laptops to practice "Tener" (to have). Today we started class by taking notes on the verb "Tener" (to have). Here is the powerpoint with the notes. After taking notes students worked on 2 pages to practice the conjugations of "tener." Here's sheet 1 and here's sheet 2. We went over the answers to sheet 1 in class and students finished sheet 2 on their own. We will go over the answers to sheet 2 tomorrow. Today in class students got their new Warm Up sheet. After the Warm Up we handled course registration. Classes only met for 50 minutes.
