Learning Targets: Today I will learn... 1. New vocabulary related to food/eating 2. How to conjugate Regular -ER/-IR Verbs 3. How to read for meaning utilizing cognates and previously learned vocab & grammar Warm Up – Translate: 1) He loves coffee. 2) Juan is in a hurry today. 3) She always wants pizza. Today in class we previewed the vocab for and read "Piratas" Ch. 2. We then answered the Ch. questions in our red packet. If you were absent check CTLS under the Lesson Resources section. Next, we learned how to conjugate Regular -ER and -IR Verbs. Here is the notes powerpoint. The last part of the block we used our computers. Today in class we started with TPRS Day 2. Here is the powerpoint with the words and story from today. After completing Day 2 we began reading Ch. 1 of "Piratas" - see the Lesson Resources Tab in CTLS and click on the folder titled "Piratas Book" to find related resources there: a. Vocab List for Piratas b. Question Guide Wednesday, April 17th Learning Targets: Today I will learn... 1. How to use the verb "Estar" to express feelings and locations. 2. How to utilize prepositions of location to say where people and items are located. 3. What the differences are between ser vs. estar and when to use each. Today we started with a quick Blooket review for our vocab quiz. Then we took the quiz. Afterwards we started a new unit over TPRS! Here is the vocab sheet for every day of the TPRS unit. You can watch it there! Tuesday, April 16th Learning Targets: Today I will learn... 1. How to use the verb "Estar" to express feelings and locations. 2. How to utilize prepositions of location to say where people and items are located. 3. What the differences are between ser vs. estar and when to use each. Warm Up: Translate: 1. The whiteboard is under the clock. 2. The door is to the right of the trashcan. 3. The chair is behind the table. Today in class we reviewed "Hay" = "There is / There are" with this powerpoint and we completed this activity sheet.
