Learning Targets: 1. I will learn how to describe myself and others using adjectives and the verb "Ser" (to be). 2. I can correctly use subject pronouns and the conjugations of ser to talk about myself and others. Warm Up: Translate: 1) The students are daring, extroverted, and talkative. 2) Elena and I are patient, organized, and young. Today in class we started with 2 rounds of Blooket to review our new adjective vocab. Next, we verbally practiced adjectives with this powerpoint and then we went over the difficult parts on yesterday's Quia activities. Next, students completed these 2 sheets in class and then used their laptops to finish up both Quia activities from yesterday. Students that still needed to take Non-Negotiable Quiz took Day 5 today! Thursday, February 8th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn how to describe myself and others using adjectives and the verb "Ser" (to be). 2. Warm Up: Translate: 1) Clara and Rita are smart, athletic, and pretty. 2) José is hardworking, funny, and social. Today in class we reviewed number/gender agreement of nouns and adjectives. We started by watching this review video on how to make nouns and adjectives agree according to their number & gender. We also reviewed the concepts on Non-Negotiable Quiz and took the Day 4 assessment. Students then completed working on their Diamond Poems and turned them in to me. I can correctly use subject pronouns and the conjugations of ser to talk about myself and others. Warm Up: Answer in Spanish w/ 3 adjectives: ¿Cómo es tu mejor amigo(a)? Today in class we reviewed number/gender agreement of nouns and adjectives. We watched this grammar review video on the topic. Next we practiced number/gender agreement of nouns and adjectives with this sheet and this sheet and then we went over the answers. Then, whoever needed to take Non-Negotiable Quiz took it. Here is the instructions poweproint which includes an example I wrote about myself. Also, here's a picture of a student sample. Students will decorate and read their poems to me as a 10-point assignment. If you didn't finish writing your poem in class complete the rest for homework and you'll present the poem in class tomorrow. Tuesday, February 6th Learning Targets: 1. Today in class we defined the new vocabulary for our new unit: Ch. 1B - Physical & Personality Descriptions. In this unit we are going to learn how to describe ourselves and others in regards to physical and personality attributes. Here is the completed vocab sheet we defined today.
