The students and I wrote the part about Spanish class together and then students told me about the rest of their classes. Today we had a PSAT Practice-Run schedule and a Pep Rally. Only 3rd and 4th block had classes today, so no work is assigned for Spanish 1 today. What are some cultural features of the 20 Spanish-speaking countries Warm Up: Describe yourself in Spanish with Ser + 3 adjectives and Tener + hair/eye color. Today in class we completed the RITA 1 Reading Assessment on Hispanic Heritage Month. Students applied the "Break it down" strategy that we learned last week and took a 5-question assessment of the article in CTLS. The last half of class students either worked individually or in pairs on a mini country/cultural project to learn more about one of the 20 countries in the Spanish-speaking world.
