Today in class we took our first unit test! After the exam students completed this vocab crossword puzzle to familiarize themselves with the vocabulary for our new unit. Have a great weekend! Today in class we reviewed for our first unit test! We started by playing 2 rounds of Blooket to review the many vocab words we've learned since the beginning of the semester. We also played a round of Quizizz to review Ser and Subject Pronouns. Next, students picked up this Unit 1 Study Guide to get ready for tomorrow's unit test! Here is the answer key to the Unit 1 Study Guide Wednesday, January 31st Learning Targets: 1. What the Spanish Subject Pronouns are, and how to use them to replace names and subject pronouns. 2. How to conjugate the verb "ser" (to be) in the Present Tense and use it correctly in sentences. Warm Up: Fill in the blank w/ a conjugation of “ser.” 1) Yo __________ la profesora. 2) Tú __________ un estudiante 3) Toni y Fabio __________ amigos. 4) Victoria y yo __________ gemelas. Today in class we started by reviewing Subject Pronouns and our first verb "Ser." We went over the answers to yesterday's worksheet, and also completed the section on "ser" from Monday's worksheet. Next, students took brief notes on 2 different concepts: 1. The word "Hay" which means "There is / There are." 2. How to say "At what time" events happen, which is similar to time-telling. After taking notes, students completed both pages of this practice sheet: Hay + Classroom Objects / A que hora Practice and then this sheet over "Ser" and classroom items. Monday, January 29th Learning Target: 1. What are subject pronouns and how are they used in both English and Spanish Warm Up: Pluralize the following articles and nouns: 1. un cartel 2. el director 3. una pantalla 4. la salsa Today in class students used this guided notes sheet as we went over this powerpoint on Subject Pronouns. Next, we watched this music video to help us memorize the Spanish subject pronouns. The last part of class did some practice together with this worksheet, and finally students completed this sheet as individual practice. Before class was over we went over the answers.
