Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to talk about preparing food using different kitchen appliances & cooking methods 2. How to talk about various exercises and healthy lifestyle habits 3. How to utilize Spanish Tu' commands to advise people on healthy eating and lifestyle habits. 4. How to use DOPs (Direct Object Pronouns) when possible to reduce redundancy in speaking & writing. Today in class students took the unit exam over Kitchen, Cooking, Commands, and Por vs. Para. After the exam, students picked up the new vocab sheet for our Outdoors & Camping unit and started defining the new words. Thursday, October 5th Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. Today in class we finished Listening Activity 3 on the Test Review packet that was given out last Thursday. Here is the audio for Actividad 3 and students worked on finishing the other sections of the activities. Here are the answers to the test study guide. The second half of the block we used our laptops. 1. Complete the 2 CTLS assessments under the "My Assessments" tab in CTLS. There's one on Ud./Uds. Commands and another on Por vs. Para. 2. We completed listening activities 2 & 5 together and then students continued working through the packet. With whatever time was left in the block students worked on this sheet (printed on the back of the "Extra" questions. Your next unit test will be on Friday 10/6 and will cover all commands and por/para along with the blue and salmon-colored vocab sheets! Tuesday, October 3rd Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. Por vs. Para: https://www.quia.com/quiz/8355841.html The rest of the block students worked to finish the recipe translations that they started yesterday, and if they were done with that they began working on pages 3 and 4 of the Unit 2 Review Packet. How to use DOPs (Direct Object Pronouns) when possible to reduce redundancy in speaking & writing Today in class we started by taking notes over Ud./Uds. commands. Here is the brief powerpoint we went over today. Next, students finished filling out the second half of the commands chart and then completed these 3 workbook pages on Ud. and Uds. commands. The last thing we did in class was pull back out the "Se' Chevere" music video sheet, and on the back a basic recipe was printed. There were 4 recipe options, and you can view them all below: 1. Chicken Soft Tacos 2. One Pan Beef Taco Bake 3. Skillet Chili Mac 4. Skillet Ziti with Sausage & Summer Squash Students worked in small groups to translate the ingredient list and the basic steps of the recipe to Spanish on a separate sheet of paper using Ud. commands.
