Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish on the topics of natural disasters and medical emergencies. 2. How to conjugate and utilize regular and irregular verbs in both the the Preterite and Imperfect tenses to narrate past events. Today in class we started by reading Ch. 3 of "La Maldicion de la Cabeza Reducida." After reading, students answered the Ch. 3 questions in the packet. Next, we reviewed a little more Preterite vs. Imperfect by completing page 3 of this packet. Lastly, we took the TPRS Days 1-3 vocab quiz and with the rest of the time in the block students completed this Quia activity on Preterite vs. Imperfect: www.quia.com/quiz/8369389.html. Thursday, November 9th Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish on the topics of natural disasters and medical emergencies. 2. How to conjugate and utilize regular and irregular verbs in both the the Preterite and Imperfect tenses to narrate past events. Today in class we began with an introduction to the mini-novel "La maldición de la cabeza reducida" which is the sequel to the book "Los Baker Van a Peru." Here is the summary of the "Los Baker van a Peru" book. We then began reading Chapters 1-2 in "La Maldicion de la cabeza reducida." We first went over the chapter vocab and then read Ch. 1-2. I have attached the chapters of the book in CTLS under the Resources section for in case you are absent. Next, we reviewed TPRS Days 1-3 and I explained how tomorrow's vocab quiz is going to be. The last part of class students studied for tomorrow's quiz using the 2 activities below: 1. Play this Quia which will test your knowledge: www.quia.com/quiz/8116728.html 2. How to conjugate and use/apply verbs in the Preterite and Imperfect tenses to narrate past events. Today in class we completed TPRS Day 2. Here is the powerpoint and story that we used today.
