Today we stared class by playing "PONGA" which is Spanish Bingo to practice the numbers a little more. Next, we took our first quiz on Greetings/Goodbyes, Numbers, and Colors. After the quiz, students picked up their first vocab sheet and started working on this vocab crossword puzzle to start familiarizing themselves with the words. Once all quizzes were in, we started talking about the calendar in Spanish (Days, Months, Seasons). Here's the powerpoint we went over today. We only covered Days of the Week and Seasons today. Warm Up: Answer in Spanish: ¿Cuántos años tienes? Today in class students worked in pairs to create a dialogue between 2 characters utilizing everything we have learned this semester. Here is the cartoon sheet where students filled in the speech bubbles. Students presented their dialogues to Mrs. Bowers for a daily grade. Once their dialogues were presented, students used their laptops to complete these 3 Quia assignments to review for tomorrow's quiz: 1. Greetings, #s, and Alphabet - www.quia.com/quiz/7917768.html 2. Warm Up: Answer in Spanish: ¿De dónde eres? Today in class we finished taking notes on the 4th of the 4 Basic questions and finished up the lesson on numbers. Here is the powerpoint we went over today in class. Next, students completed this review activity sheet. Here is the audio file you will need to do the last section. Today in class we briefly reviewed what we learned the last 3 days. Here is the powerpoint we went over to review. Next, we used our laptops. Students were introduced to 2 websites we will use a lot this semester Quizlet & Quia. First, students enrolled in my Quizlet class with this invite link: quizlet.com/join/XgJQPrN5Q You can log in if you already have an account, or you can click the white "Sign up for free" button to get one. I recommend using a Google Account. Follow these instructions: quizlet_class_sign_up.pdf .Next, log in to Quia which we will use a lot this semester! Your username will be your first and last names together followed by 1859 (example: sarahbowers1859) Your password is your lunch # Students completed these 2 assignments - These will be for a Synergy grade, and you have unlimited attempts. The grade you score will be the grade that goes into Synergy. 1. W01 - 1.9 - Números, Colores, y Expresiones - www.quia.com/quiz/8263495.html 2. Warm Up: Answer in Spanish: ¿Cómo te llamas? Today in class we reviewed the concepts from last Friday and added on Colors and the Numbers 1-20 and the question: "¿Cómo estas?" (How are you). Here is the powerpoint with the information we covered today. The last part of the block students received this Picasso coloring sheet where students had to fill in the Spanish color names and then colored the sheet to match the numbers Comments are closed.
