Learning Targets: Today in class we will learn... 1. How to identify the gender of nouns 2. What are the definite articles (the) and the indefinite articles (a / an) in Spanish 3. 2. How to pluralize nouns in Spanish Warm Up: Write the correct definite article "the" (el/la) in front of each noun 1. ____ agua* 2. ____ mesa 3. ____ cuaderno 4. ____ papel 5. ____ estación Today in class we verbally reviewed the days of the week, months of the year, holidays, numbers, and seasons. Next, we took notes on how to pluralize nouns in Spanish. Here is the powerpoint with the notes we covered today. We completed these sheets in class during our review time. We also went back over LONERS and DIÓNZA rules for identifying whether a noun is masculine or feminine, and we watched this video to review definite and indefinite articles. The last part of class, students used their laptops and worked on these 3 things: 1. Take the 5-question formative assessment in CTLS. 2. Vocabulary related to the calendar and the seasons 2. What are nouns, and how to identify whether a noun is masculine or feminine in Spanish Warm Up: Answer in Spanish: ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños? Today in class we reviewed the calendar/birthday vocabulary. We completed these 2 practice sheets on calendar and birthdays. Next, students learned how to identify the gender of nouns. Here is the powerpoint with the information we covered today. We did some verbal practice of singular/plural and masculine/feminine objects. Next, students completed this worksheet on the gender of nouns and articles. After the worksheet, students studied the vocab flash cards for Numbers & The Calendar Wednesday, January 17th Learning Targets: In class this week we will learn... 1. Vocabulary related to the calendar and seasons 2. How to tell if a noun is masculine or feminine Warm Up: Answer in Spanish: ¿Qué día es hoy? Today in class we reviewed and took some more notes on the calendar and birthday vocabulary. Here is the powerpoint with the information we covered today. Next, students completed these 2 practice sheets on calendar and birthdays. The last part of class students worked to complete this crossword puzzle for the "Para Empezar" chapter.
