Learning Targets: I will learn... 1. How to read and write in Spanish using simple sentences utilizing new and familiar vocabulary. 2. How to conjugate stem-changing verbs, Gustar/Encantar & Regular -AR,-ER, & -IR Verbs. Warm Up Fill in the blank: 1) La hermana de mi madre es mi _______. 2) Mi padre y mi madre son mis _______. 3) El hijo de mi hermano es mi ______. Today in class we started by taking notes on Possessive Adjectives. Here is the powerpoint we covered in class. After taking notes students completed these 2 worksheets. After going over the sheets, students took the Piratas Quiz over Ch. 8-11. The last part of class students used their laptops to complete these activities: 1. Piratas Ch. 8-11 Quizizz: Log into your Quizziz account. 2. Study La Familia Vocab: Log into your Quizziz account. #1-3 were assigned Thurs. 3. Today in class we finished reading Piratas Ch. 10 & 11 and finished the question packet. Students then finished the 2 sheets on the "La Familia" Vocab Crossword and the back of the vocab list sheet. Students turned this in for a 10-point assignment. Next, students finished the "La Familia" packet for a second 10-point assignment. The last part of class students used their laptops to complete these activities: 1. Piratas Ch. 8-11 Quizizz: Log into your Quizziz account. 2. Today in class we read Chapters 9 from "Piratas." If you were absent, you can access the book in CTLS under the Lesson Resources tab on the top of the page. We also answered the questions in the gold packet. After reading Piratas, we went over this final vocab sheet for the semester which has to do with "La Familia" (Family). Students learned how to draw out a family tree, and we used my family's tree as an example. With the remaining class time students continued working on the sheets that were given our yesterday and then completed this "La Familia" Vocab Packet. Warm Up-Translate: 1) John and Henry play (jugar u:ue) soccer. 2) We don’t understand (entender e:ie) the problem. 3) She can (poder o:ue) eat a lot. Today in class we quickly reviewed the grammar and vocab and then took the TPRS Unit Exam. After students finished the test they received this vocab list and vocab crossword to start familiarizing themselves with our final unit (la familia). Students also worked on these 2 pages which were on the back of the crossword: 1. wkbk_pgs_85-86.pdf 2. quien_es_family_wksht_spanish.docx Monday, December 4th Learning Targets: I will learn... 1. How to conjugate stem-changing verbs, Gustar/Encantar, Regular -AR,-ER, & -IR Verbs, and Stem-Changing Verbs. Warm Up: Translate: 1. Spanish class starts (empezar e:ie) at 8:20 2. We return (volver o:ue) home after school. 3. The shoes cost $120. Today in class we read Chapter 8 from "Piratas."
