Today in class we read this article on global warming & the effects it has had on the penguin population in "El Cono Sur." The last half of the block we went to the computer lab and students completed this subjunctive practice with Doubt/Denial and Emotion clauses: www.quia.com/quiz/7848922.html Thursday, October 6th Today in class we started by going over the answers to Tuesday's subjunctive HW sheet. Next, we completed some listening activities for the vocab & subjunctive. Your quiz will be next Thursday! Wednesday, October 5th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn how to use keyboard shortcuts to quickly insert accented characters when typing. 2. We will hone our listening and writing skills from our transcriptions. Today we used our laptops again for the whole block to work on the Interview Project. Segment 4 of the Audio & Transcription are due at 11:59p.m. Friday (10/7)! I will grade Segment 4 over the weekend! Tuesday, October 4th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn how to use subjunctive clauses of emotion and doubt & denial. 2. I will learn about the Inca civilization and cultural aspects of modern-day Peru Today in class I shared about my trip to Peru ad then we took notes on the Subjunctive in Emotional Clauses & Doubt / Denial Clauses. Here is the powerpoint with the notes. After taking notes, students worked to complete this practice sheet. Monday, October 3rd Learning Targets: I will learn how to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish on the following topics: 1. environmental topics (landforms, animals, climate) Today in class we defined the vocab for our next unit "El Medioambiente." Here is the completed vocab sheet if you were absent. Next, students got back previous quizzes and the reading test from the last unit. Lastly, we went to the computer lab for the final 30 minutes of class to let students start studying the online vocab flash cards found here (Set 1). Comments are closed.
