Learning Targets 1. I can discuss the seasons and weather as it relates to the activities we do and the clothing we choose to wear. 2. I can discuss clothing and outfit choices according to activity and weather. Today in class we finished any lingering presentations for students that were absent yesterday. Next, we went over weather vocabulary with this powerpoint and students completed the activity on the last slide. I can talk about my free time activities and how long I have participated in them. 2. I can conjugate and use stem-changing verbs and utilize Infinitive Verb Phrases. 3. I know the Spanish question words and can create and answer questions. 4. I know the 2 verbs "to know" Saber & Conocer, how to conjugate them, and when to use each one. Today in class students presented their Ch. 1B Summative on the club/sport/activity of their choice. After presentations we defined the clothing and weather vocab here's the Quizlet flash cards set. I can talk about my free time activities and how long I have participated in them. 2. I can conjugate and use stem-changing verbs and utilize Infinitive Verb Phrases. 3. Today in class students had some time to study before their Saber/Conocer & Hacer Time Expressions Quiz. I know the Spanish question words and can create and answer questions. 4. I know the 2 verbs "to know" Saber & Conocer, how to conjugate them, and when to use each one. Today in class students had their summative writing assessment over the Ch. 1B Unit. I went over the prompt and rubric with students and then they had 30 minutes to write. I then scanned their writings and handed them back. Your speaking presentation will be on Thursday. You may memorize or use a notecard to help prompt you through the presentation. After the writing, we did a Question Word unscramble activity, and then the final activity was this audio activity. Here is the audio file that goes with it. Monday, March 11th Learning Targets 1. Today in class we verbally reviewed the big concepts from our unit: - Saber vs. Conocer - Hacer Time Expressions - Que' hora es vs. A que' hora es -Question Words After the review students worked in pairs to write a skit. Here is the prompt we used. Students presented their skits to me and received feedback on their work. The rest of the block students studied their vocab to prepare for tomorrow's summative writing.
