Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish about the Maya Civilization -- their practices, perspectives, and products. 2. How to conjugate and utilize regular and irregular verbs in both the the Preterite and Imperfect tenses to narrate past events. 3. How to conjugate and use the Present Perfect Tense 4. How to use Reflexive Pronouns, DOPs, and IOPs to reduce redundancy in speaking/writing. Today in class students took notes on Mayan Math. After taking notes, we practiced forming larger numbers and then completed some addition/subtraction problems. Next, students took the La Maldicion Ch. 8-11 book quiz. After the quiz students picked up this Mayan math practice sheet to complete. Thursday, December 7th Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. Today we went over the answers to the Present Perfect Grammar Sheet from yesterday and then checked the answers to the Mayan Map activities. Then students worked on a second Present Perfect practice sheet and we went over those answers as well. The last part of the block students used their laptops to complete the following activities: 1. Wednesday, December 6th Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish on the Maya civilization. 2. How to conjugate and utilize regular and irregular verbs in both the the Preterite and Imperfect tenses to narrate past events. 3. How to use Reflexive Pronouns, DOPs, and IOPs to reduce redundancy in speaking/writing. Today in class we finished reading "La Maldición de la Cabeza Reducida" (Ch. 9-11)! You will have a quiz on Friday over Ch. 8-11! If you were absent, the book is attached at the top part of the CTLS page under Resources. The last part of class we reviewed yesterday's grammar notes on Present Perfect tense. Students completed this practice sheet during class. We will go over the answers tomorrow. Tuesday, December 5th Learning Targets: I will learn: 1. How to read, write, listen, and speak in Spanish on the Maya civilization. 2. How to use Reflexive Pronouns, DOPs, and IOPs to reduce redundancy in speaking/writing. Today in class we read all of Ch. 8 of La Maldición de la Cabeza Reducida. The PDF of the book can be found in CTLS under the Resources tab at the top of the CTLS class page. Next, students took notes on how to form the Present Perfect tense. How to use Reflexive Pronouns, DOPs, and IOPs to reduce redundancy in speaking/writing. Today in class we read "La Maldición de la Cabeza Reducida" Ch. 8 and answered the questions in the packet. Next, students were introduced to their new vocabulary list on the Maya Civilization. We then reviewed prepositions of location and students did this map activity using the new vocabulary. Here are the instructions for the map activity. Students then had the rest of the block to finish the map and vocab sheets that were given out after last Friday's test. Comments are closed.
