Learning Targets: 1. I will learn about the true story of Jaime Escalante Today I was not at school. Students watched the film "Stand and Deliver" and had a viewing guide to fill out as they watched the movie. Thursday, March 30th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn the format of the National Spanish Exam Today in class we took the Achievement portion of the National Spanish Exam. Students went to: www.lingco.io and then logged in with their gmail account. Wednesday, March 29th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn the format of the National Spanish Exam Today in class we took the Proficiency portion of the National Spanish Exam. Students went to: www.lingco.io and then logged in with their gmail account. Afterward, students had the opportunity to prepare for the vocab/grammar portion of the exam. You can access the practice site here: class.lingco.io/register?courseCode=STU-9d5f2e9 and put in the code: STU-9d5f2e9 to join the course. Tuesday, March 28th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn new vocabulary related to volunteerism and efforts to better our community. Today we started with our computers. First, students registered for National Spanish Exam: class.lingco.io/register?courseCode=STU-7ec3f6c here's the course code to enroll in the course: STU-7ec3f6c. Please enroll with your gmail, do NOT use your CCSD email. Students then took 10-15 minutes to read both of the following articles about the importance of learning another language: 1. ¿Por qué estudiar el inglés? 2. ¿Por qué estudiar el español? The last part of the block we recorded 1 cultural comparison and 2 interpersonal speakings. Monday, March 27th Learning Targets: 1. I will learn new vocabulary related to volunteerism and efforts to better our community. Today we finished defining the new Volunteerism Vocab sheet. You can study the Set #2 flash cards here: Unidad 6 - La Vida Contemporanea.
